2016 David's Tableau Vivant
For the month of November our 2016 David's Tableau is on a re-release special at its original price. Take advantage of this until December 1st, 2025.
Our signature Bordeaux-style wine is blended, bottled, and named in honor Laurel Ridge's founder, David Teppola. David loved the wines of Bordeaux, and dreamt of developing his own Bordeaux-style red blend for years before finally embarking on this passion project in 2004. He worked with vineyards from Oregon's Rogue Valley to source grapes - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc - specifically for his Bordeaux-style blend. Unfortunately, David passed away before he was able to complete the inaugural blend. In his honor, David's wife Susan finished what he was unable to, releasing David's Tableau Vivant for the first time in late 2006.
We continue this tradition today, making David's Bordeaux-style blends using the same varietals and methods David established from the beginning; selecting only the best barrels from the best vintages. This means we may go through a few harvests until we have barrels worthy of blending into a David's Tableau Vivant, but the result is well worth the wait.
Our 2016 his vintage exhibits black cherry, ripe raspberry and silky dark chocolate finishing with the lingering flavor of espresso and cocoa.
Breathing or decanting is appropriate for this wine. Enjoy now through 2029.
