As wine ages, each barrel imparts its own flavors and aromas on the wine inside. That’s why our founder, David Teppola, developed a barrel-select process many years ago, a method we follow to this day. When it came time to bottle this 2018 Oregon Pinot Noir, our winemaker tasted each barrel, and then blended only the best in a way that highlights the finest qualities of the vintage. We create one “barrel select” bottling for every vintage.

 

Our 2018 Barrel Select Pinot Noir has a definitive rich, bountiful character on the palate. It is robust for a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, and has notes of powerful dark fruit, with velvety, integrated tannins. Give it an hour to breathe and you will be rewarded. For a simple dinner, try this with a roasted beef tenderloin and a wine reduction sauce or a big, juicy blue cheese burger.
